Privacy Notice

1. Who is responsible

SylvariaDex is an independent project operated in Quebec, Canada, by Florent Chiaroni, who serves as Privacy Officer and is responsible for the personal information handled through this website. The Privacy Officer can be reached at support@sylvariadex.com.

2. Scope and age requirement

This notice covers the SylvariaDex website and pre-launch list. You must be at least 18 years old and legally an adult where you live to join. We do not knowingly collect waitlist information from minors; contact us if an address should be removed.

3. Information we collect

When you join the list, we record:

• the email address you provide;
• your selected language and the location of the form you submitted;
• the consent version and timestamp, including your adult-status confirmation;
• confirmation-email attempt, delivery-request, and error timestamps or codes.

The waitlist database does not store your raw IP address. Cloudflare may process IP addresses, request headers, logs, and other technical or security information when it delivers the site, runs the form, or checks for abuse. The website code currently sets no advertising or audience-analytics cookies.

4. Why we use it

We use your email to confirm your registration and send one SylvariaDex launch message. We use the related record to prevent duplicate confirmations, operate and secure the form, document consent, and honour privacy requests. Joining does not create an app account or subscribe you to an ongoing newsletter.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, the emails rely on your consent. Limited technical processing for security, service integrity, and legal compliance relies on our legitimate interests or applicable legal obligations. We do not profile you or make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects. If Cloudflare Turnstile is enabled, it may automatically assess security signals solely to help determine whether a form submission appears abusive.

5. Service providers and international processing

Cloudflare Pages, Pages Functions, and D1 deliver the site and store registrations. Cloudflare Turnstile may be enabled to limit automated abuse. Resend processes your email address, message content, and delivery data to send the confirmation and launch email. These providers may process information outside Quebec or Canada, where local laws may differ. We require providers only for operating and protecting this service.

6. Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or use waitlist information for third-party advertising. We disclose it only to providers needed to operate or secure the service, to complete a request you make, or when applicable law requires or permits disclosure.

7. Retention

We will delete waitlist entries no later than 90 days after sending the launch email. If the project is definitively discontinued without launching, we will delete them within 90 days of that decision. We delete an entry earlier on a valid request, unless limited retention is required by law. Provider security, delivery, or backup records may remain for their ordinary retention periods or legal obligations.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to this limited data, including encrypted connections, restricted access, and protected service credentials. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

9. Your choices and rights

You may withdraw consent or ask whether your address is listed, obtain access, correct it, or request deletion at any time by writing from the registered address to support@sylvariadex.com. We may verify control of that address before acting. The launch email will include a simple way to unsubscribe. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to restrict or object to processing, receive portable data, or complain to a privacy authority.
